Maths- skip counting in twos, fives and tens.

Today in Whio we did a maths problem that saw us skip counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.

This is the problem we were sharing-

There are five children in the line to wash their hands, if they wash their hands twice on Monday how many pumps of soap will they use? If they wash their hands twice on Tuesday how many pumps of soap will they have used.

The children used lots of great strategies to work out how many pumps of soap were used. By the end of the session we had even worked out how many pumps we would use over the whole week (50) , and also for a whole class of children (250- we rounded up to 25 children).

Here are some photos of T11 and T12 using concrete materials to help work the problem out.
