Coding

For the last week of term 2 we have been exploring Digital Technology. We had a Whio rotation and the children got to participate in three different activities.

First of all we learned how to use three apps on the Ipads - Bee Bots, Box Island and Scratch Junior.

These apps teach the children basic coding skills.

The next day we got to use the bee bots, the children took turns to code the bee bots - this was lots of fun! and also some slight frustration when the bee didn't go the right way.

The last session was Kids Bots - the children worked in groups of threes and each took on a different role - The programmer, the tester and the bot. They had to use vocabulary such as forwards, left and right. It was great to see the children working together and developing their active listening skills
