Special visit from Mrs Dunsey

Today we were very lucky to have a special visit from Mrs Dunsey and baby Zayde. We were so excited to see them both. The children asked lots of great questions about Zayde and found out all about him. We loved having them visit and hope that they can come back again soon!

Matariki Collaborative Artwork

For the next couple of weeks Whio will be learning about and celebrating Matariki. One of the activities we did this week was a collaborative piece of art work. Each child had to colour in an A4 piece of paper, they had to work collaboratively with the person sitting next to them and in front and behind them.

We think it turned out pretty well!

Friday Fun Day - Week 9

This week for Friday Fun Day the children have been planting spinach seeds with Susan, weaving with Apple, dancing, creating and having fun with their friends.

The Tuatara reading group shared a play with us - they did a great job!

Basketball Skills with Jono

For the rest of the term we are lucky to have Jono from Selwyn Sports coming in to take each T group for a half an hour session each week.

We are focusing on basketball skills - we played some fun games like truck and trailer and farmer and chicken.

We talked about using our fingertips to dribble the ball and how to do a bounce pass.

We had LOTS of fun!!!
