Today all the children in Ahuriri and Huritini had a special visit from our new community police officer Constable Jess. Constable Jess reminded us of all the things we need to do when crossing the road safely (from our earlier road safety topic). She also told us all about her job and what special equipment she has as a police officer. The children were especially keen to have a hold of her handcuffs. Constable Jess also showed us how the lights and sirens work on her police car- the sirens were very loud!
