Whanau morning

Whio children really enjoyed working with other children from through out the school this morning when we had our Whanau morning.  They completed many different activities all designed and run by the senior students from Otumatua studio.  All the activities were themed around a Te Reo Maori topic.

The children were all busy doing word finds, singing 'Heads, shoulders, knees and toes', counting (and making numbers with play dough), learning greetings and how to respond with how they are feeling, all using Te Reo Maori. There was also time at the end for most groups to have an outside game together.

A big thank you to the students and teachers from Otumatua for the work put into preparing Whanau morning.
